TKAT (The Kemnal Academies Trust) is one of the largest Multi-Academy Trusts in the South of England, with over 40 Primary and Secondary Academies in the TKAT family.
TKAT teacher training offers a unique, comprehensive programme delivered by highly skilled, experienced, and enthusiastic teachers. Our training sessions are relevant to current educational developments and provide a hands-on approach to classroom practice. We believe the best teachers are trained by outstanding practitioners.
In 2014, Ofsted rated the TKAT SCITT as ‘good’ across all categories.
Ofsted 2014: “A very coherent training programme which ensures that trainees carry through the lessons learned from central training and assignment work into their teaching.”
Applying to Our Programme
We seek well-qualified graduates who are passionate about learning and committed to helping pupils reach their full potential.
Requirements:
- A UK degree with a minimum classification of 2:2.
- GCSEs in English and Maths (minimum Grade C or equivalent).
- Primary trainees also need a minimum Grade C in GCSE Science.
- For Secondary trainees, your degree studies should ideally align with the subject you wish to teach.
